ABOUT: “Precision, Passion, Craft and Sustainability” is the apt motto for Simon Woodhead’s Stopham Estate winery as he began his career as an engineer designing parts for Formula One racing cars. His small 6 hectare vineyard forms part of the South Downs National Park where animals roam freely. Sustainable farming is at the heart of their philosophy. The 2017 vintage was fermented in stainless steel tanks and bottled for a secondary fermentation where it spent 26months on lees before disgorgement in September 2020.
