ABOUT: This Australian family-owned boutique winery is dedicated to the production of premium, site specific red wine made in small volumes. From old vines aged between 60-100 years old, the blend is made by internationally acclaimed winemaker Ben Glaetzer. Wallace takes on the traditional Barossa Valley blend of Shiraz and Grenache with a modern twist. The Shiraz component (78%) was matured in oak for 16months whilst the old vine Barossa Grenache (28% of the final blend) remained unoaked to preserve the purity of fruit. Wallace is drinking well now but will also develop complexity over 6-8years of cellaring if you can bear to keep it for that long!
