ABOUT: Founded by Edwin Doran and André Badenhorst in 2010, this beautiful boutique vineyard near Paarl on the Swartland border is also home to a vast array of wildlife and has a working farm with Aberdeen Angus cattle and Ile de France sheep and Bushveldt hens. Due to the large dam on the Far Horizons farm, the property is also home to carp fish and a huge collection of birds, ducks and geese. The grapes for this beautiful Roussanne were hand harvested early in the morning to retain freshness. Fermentation took place in French oak barrels and the wine was left on its lees for 14months before bottling. Delicious now, this wine also has great cellaring potential.
