ABOUT: Since his first vintage in 2001, Javier Dominguez’s vineyard has been widely acknowledged as the driving force behind the emergence of quality wines in this little known region. He has worked tirelessly to revive indigenous vines in a place that, due to it’s altitude of 300-700metres, is a very tricky place to grow grapes! The vines vary from 21 to 100 years old and are scattered across large north facing hillsides of schist and granite soils flecked with quartz, slate and iron. Summer and Autumn temperatures feature a large diurnal range. This is a really special wine that beautifully displays it’s sense or place or terroir.
